Cheezel

I believe everyone had try cheezel. I like snacks with cheese like Chees flavour twisty, biscuit with cheese filling in it and Cheese cheezel.
Din kw that Cheezel has come up with a new flavour call BBQ Cheese Cheezel. I had mistaken it for the original cheese flavour n purchased it since they are of the same packing. After trying, i still prefer the original Cheese than this flavour. You can only taste the bbq seasoning, there is no cheese taste as what i had prefer. Think i will have to look properly before i purchase cheezel again.

Hakka Resturant
The Menu

"Fried Salted Fish Pork Chop"

"Cold Dou-Foo"

"Kang Kong w/Fermented Curd"

"Spiced Roast Duck"

"Yellow wine Chicken"

"Claypot Dou Fu"

Went for a short trip to KL 2 weeks ago...... this time round i nv go to jalan alor to eat my duck rice. got no craving for it. We went to an authentic Hakka resturant recommended by my sis frend. 1st time been to an hkka restuarant. Its located opposite Pavillion Shopping Centre. My aunt luv the Yellow Wine Chicken the most. She had 2 bowls of the soup while we only eat the chicken. We find the taste too strong to our liking but i believe those old hakka ppl will surely like it a lot. haha. Overall, i like the pork chop, duck and the kang kong dishes. The pricing was reasonable too. Yummy!

Kway Chap

Yo ho. Today finally managed to eat my fav kway Chap at my old hse area. Has wanted to have it last sun but the coffeeshop was under reno when i went there. This stall is located in the coffeeshop at blk 53 Sims Drive. What i like about their food is that the kway sauce is not saltish and does not have any funny smell and the kway is just nicely cooked. Complement that with their homemade chilli is just nice for your tastebud. My way of having it is to add the chilli sauce into the kway instead of dipping it. haha! I believe each has their own way of eating this dish. Will try to bring my frend to have a try if gt chance to do so. hehe!

Egg Tart

Ho ho, just saw this in yahoo news regarding which place you can find the best egg tart in SG. Egg tart is a pastry that i always cannot resist. Maybe can go and try it someday. Yum yum!

Leong Sang Hong Kong Pastries
$1.00 per piece. 18 Sago St., 6221-1344.This one confuses us with its thin, dry crust, leaving us unsure whether it was meant to be shortcrust or flaky. It maintains a hard, smooth exterior but is crumbly and messy once bitten into. We felt there wasn't enough crust to balance the generous yet bland filling.

Rochor Original Beancurd $1.40 per piece. 2 Short St., 6334-1138.The crust is so good you can eat it on its own. Baked to perfection, it crumbles nicely in your mouth. The filling, however, is disappointing. Pale and bland, it lacks texture, that egg-y flavor, and real oomph.

Tong Heng Confectionery $1.40 per piece. 285 South Bridge Rd., 6223-0398.This is one hard, shortcrusted tart. More of a pudding than a custard, it features an extremely sweet, rather dense filling, bordered by a crumbly, biscuit-like crust. Topped with a mustard yellow finish, it feels jelly-like to the touch.

KFC $1.30 per piece. Islandwide, 6222-6111.The flaky, crisp crust neatly borders the pale yellow center. With an evenly-caramelized coat, a bite into this melt-in-your-mouth custard leaves an addictive creamy aftertaste.

Madeleine's Original Portuguese Egg Tart & Puff $1.30 per piece. 198 Tanjong Katong Rd., 6247-9363.Hands-down winner. A tale of two extremes - its crisp, buttery crust mingles well with a smooth and creamy filling. Fragrant at first whiff, it stays loyal to the original Portuguese pastel de nata.

Dinner (Home Cooked Food)

This is my dinner tomight prepare by my mum. She has a new dish today that is the Thai Sambal fish. It is fry together with the sambal sauce, tomato and onions (Hate it). Flavour was ok but not spicy enuff, think next time will ask her to try with other type of sambal sauce.

My Lunch (Bee Hoon Soup)

This is what i had for lunch today. It's from a stall in Chinatown Market beside CK. What i like about this is the minced pork is not fatty, no pork smell and its nicely marinated with soy sauce and other seasoning. The whole dish will include an egg, button mushroom, veg, minced pork and ikan bilis. Guess the price? It's only $2.50 for takeaway. (Where to find at this price now?)Last time there was prawn included but now prawn is only included for order of $3.50. So if anyone is on a low budget or has no appetite, maybe can try this stall. They have other dishes as well.
